September 14, 2009- At 13:32, at the request of Chief 722 (Sattizahn), already on scene, stations 1 & 2 were dispatched to 351 Route 61 at the old Van Huesen Plant for an industrial accident with entrapment. This was a result of a mezzanine collapsing onto a stand up forklift. Engine 733 and Rescue 727 arrived on scene and began to stabilize the area using cribbing and jacks. However, do to the severity of the situation, Chief Sattizahn also asked to have additional rescues to be dispatched to the scene, sending in Rescue 56-56 from Orwigsburg and Rescue 63 out of Pottsville. Crews from all of the rescue companies worked for the better part of 2 hours trying to cut the victim out of the tangled mess.Once the patient was removed from the building he was transported right across the street to awaiting Medevac 7 with a landing zone already set up by station 4 with engine 737.
