November 1, 2009- To start the month of November on a bad note: Early in the morning at 05:36 stations 2 & 4 were dispatched to assist District 34 (Friedensburg & Summit Station) on a working house fire at 139 Rolling View Drive, Wayne Twp. Chief 34-06 (Heffner) arrived on scene first to advise County and all incoming units of a working fire. He then asked to have his first alarm structure fire dispatched as well as a Tanker Task Force. A quick hit was made onthe fire, with only moderate fire damage to the rear of the residence, but with smoke and water damage throughout the house. While our 2 engine companies were out of the borough, Minersville Engine 528 and Pottsville Engine 71 stood by in our borough. Our 2 companies were busy in Wayne Twp for just about 2 hours before being released. MLK Photos**
