November 6, 2009- At 12:26 the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department and Orwigsburg Engine 56-10 (in place of Wagon 736) was dispatched to 123 Parkway, Schuylkill Haven Borough, for smoke in a house. Chief 723, Engine 737 and Engine 732 all arrived on scene about the same time and gained access to the residence to find a light smoke condition in the house due to a oil burner malfunction. Upon further investigation, it was found that the oil burner had “fallen apart” causing the smoke. The unit was shut down and the companies on scene set up PPV fans to ventilate the house. Everybody was on scene for about 40 minutes before returning.
