December 24, 2009- As Stations 1 & 4 were responding to the previous structure fire in North Manheim Twp, the beeps came across again, this time for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment at the intersection on South Garfield Ave and Lilly Street. Chief 722 (Sattizahn) arrived on scene first and immediately confirmed entrapment and injuries. Engine 733 arrived on scene and went to work stabilizing the vehicle and extricating the patient. Medics arrived on scene and decided to fly the extricated patient. Station 2 was dispatched for their 2ndengine to respond to “The White Church” on Route 61 to set up a landing zone for incoming Medevac 7. All apparatus remained on scene for just over an hour until the towing company arrived to remove the vehicles.
