December 26, 2009- Just before 19:00 District 41 (Cressona) was dispatched to 27 Graeff Street, Cressona Borough, for an activated smoke alarm detected by a passer-by in the street. Chief 41-01 (Krammes Jr.) arrived on scene to find a vacant house with smoke alarms activated throughout the house. After realizing the problem, Chief Krammes, asked to have Liberty Fire Station #4 added to the call. Crews eventually gained access to the residence via a back door and did an investigation and found faulty detectors. Everybody was cleared within 15 minutes.
