October 3, 2011 – Tanker 738 To Washington Township (Tanker Task Force)

October 3, 2011 – At approximately 12:30 Station 4 was dispatched along with Fire Districts 58 (Pine Grove), and 34(Friendensburg) to 112 Meadow View Road, Washington Township for a reported barn fire. Crews arrived on scene and found a working barn fire with animals entrapped inside the structure.  Pine Grove command immediately requested a second alarm tanker task force bringing Tankers from as far as Berks County. FireFighters knocked down the fire and the blaze was placed under control after about 45 minutes. T-738 hauled 2,000 gallons of water to the scene. T-738 was released after approximately 1.5 hours.
