March 7, 2012 – At 16:29 the SHFD was dispatched to the intersection of Route 61 South and Pottsville Street (Connor’s Crossing) for fluids on the roadway. Chief 730 arrived on scene and advised all responding units of a large amount of oil in the sound bound lanes stretching from the Cressona Mall to the area of the Manheim Diner. Fire personnel used approximately 25 bags of floor dry to cover and soak up the oil. All units were on scene for 45 minutes.
