July 8, 2012 – At 22:14 the SHFD Dive Team was dispatched along with Fire District 42 (Deer Lake)to the Schuylkill River in the area of Rolling Meadow Drive and Fork Road, West Brunswick Township for a water rescue. Crews arrived on scene and located a family who had been canoeing and became disoriented due to darkness. Members from the dive team pulled the family to safety. All SHFD units remained on scene for approximately 1 hour.
