September 11, 2012 – At 09:42 Station 4 was dispatched along with fire districts 47, 56, 42, and 39 to 28 Meadow Dr. S., Manheim Township for a house fire. PSP was the first to arrive on scene and confirmed a working structure fire. SCCC then upgraded the call to a working fire; adding Station 1 & 2 to the call. First in E-737 arrived on scene and found the residence to be fully involved. Crews from E-737 pulled a 2 1/2 attack line and began defensive operations. Crews from Station 2 arrived and pulled an 1 3/4 cross-lay also from E-737 and stretched the line to the rear of the building. Mutual aid tankers established water supply and shuttling operations to the scene. Unfortunately, due to the large amount of fire, the residence was a total loss before any units arrived on scene. Fire personnel remained at the scene until all hot spots were extinguished and overhaul was completed. Chief 47 had command of the incident.
