January 29, 2020 – Smoke In A Church

At 03:40 the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department was dispatched to 420 Saylor Street for a fire alarm activation. As units became en-route, PD advised of a smoke condition inside of the church. Crews from Station 2&4 forced entry to the A-side of the building and located a cooking appliance responsible for the smoke.

The appliance was removed and crews worked to ventilate all areas of the building. All Fire District 63 apparatus were on scene for approximately 90 minutes. Deputy 63 had command.
