December 27, 2009- At 05:22, Liberty Fire Co. Station #4 was dispatched along with Districts 47, 42 and 56 (Landingville, Deer Lake and Orwigsburg) for a structure fire at 64 Hill View Drive, South Manheim Twp. Incident command, Chief 47 (Hoffman), arrived on scene to find a barn/garage well off and partially collapsed. Due to the location of the fire Chief 47 asked to have a Tanker Task Force dispatched to provide enough water to feed the first in engines. Engines 47-10 and Engine 737 were supplying the water to the pre-connects, blitz lines, blitz fires etc….while Engine 56-11 was drafting water from portable dump tanks and fed a 5″ hose going to the fire scene. A lot of “mop-up” and overhaul was conducted and Schuylkill Haven was placed available in about 3.5 hours. *Station 4 Pics*
