January 10, 2010- At 16:30 the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department was dispatched to 400 University Drive, (Penn State Schuylkill Campus) North Manheim Twp, for smoke in an apartment. Duty Chief 720 (Peel) went responding and was advised of a heavy smoke condition in an apartment with the fire reported to be out. Once everyone arrived on location, it was found to be burnt food on a stove. Crews set up positive pressure fans throughout the building and everybody was cleared in just over 30 minutes.
