March 8, 2010- At 11:34 the Rainbow Hose was dispatched for Ladder 725 and Squad 726 to assist Districts 34, 47, 42 and Berks Company 50 on a house fire at 25 Yerger Lane, South Manheim Twp. Chief 34-06 (C. Krause) arrived on the scene and advised all units of a working fire. Attack lines were put into service and a tanker shuttle was set up. Due to the terrain of the land, Ladder 725 was unable to make up the driveway, so instead they were used as an engine and set up a fill site. Crews remained on scene for quite a while and finished hitting hot spots. The cause of this fire is still under investigation.
