Right around 17:15 Schuylkill Hose, Station 2, was dispatched to assist Berks County at 1236 Pottsville Pike, Perry Township, for a working commercial structure fire. Perry Township command asked for Station 2, Orwigsburg (District 56), and Deer Lake (District 42) out of Schuylkill County to help bring the fire under control. As Station 2 was put in service as they arrived on scene, Hamurg command asked if he could also have Rainbow Hose, Station #1 for a full station assignment to stand by for the boro of Hamburg, as they had "dumped" their station on the Pottsville Pike incident. After well over an hour, as units started clearing from the scene, all Schuylkill Haven units had been cleared and released back to the boro.
