May 7, 2010 – At 16:40 while members of the SHFD Dive team and fire personnel still remained on scene in New Castle Township, Stations 1 & 2 were dispatched to 82 Memorial Drive for a reported vehicle fire. As units became en-route Chief 723 (Donatti) advised of a working engine compartment fire. Engine 732 arrived on scene and immediately placed a 1 ¾” line in service and knocked down the fire and checked for extension into the passenger compartment. Chief 723 had command and units remained on scene for approximately 1 hour until the towing company arrived. Pictures at SchuylkillHose.com
