August 8, 2008- At 21:22 Stations 1 & 4 were dispatched to assist districts 56, 42, and 47 (Orwigsburg, Deer Lake, and Landingville) for an Automatic Fire Alarm to 1000 Manor Drive, Orwigsburg Boro. However, as Chief 56 (Hardinger) arrived on scene he advised that he had smoke showing from an electrical fire to the rear of the building. Ladder 725 was placed into service right away, as Engine 737 was advised to lay 5" from the main hydrant in the front of the building and supply Engine 56-10 feeding the fire. As all incoming units were being utilized, Chief 56 asked to have R.I.T. dispatched from Pottsville City in to assist. The fire was knocked down shortly after everyone arrived and crews did extensive ventilation on the building. Schuylkill Haven crews were out for about an hour and a half.
