December 27, 2010 – At 19:54 Station 4 was dispatched along with Orwigsburg, Landingville, Deer Lake, and Auburn fire companies to 36 West Adamsdale Road for a house fire. As units began to respond county advised that a firefighter in the area confirmed a chimney fire with extension to the exterior side “D” of the structure. Crews arrived on scene and began to open the interior walls of the structure. Station 1 was added to the call for Ladder 725, who after arrival began opening the exterior walls around the chimney. Fire personnel extinguished the fire and checked for other areas of extension. All units remained on scene for approximately 1.5 hours. Chief 47 (Hoffman) was in command of the incident and Chief 730 (Reed) was the SHFD duty Chief.
