November 19, 2008- At 17:22 Stations 1 & 2 were dispatched along with District 41 ( Cressona) for a motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment in the area of the Cressona Mall. As units went responding, they were advised that there was no entrapment, but had fluids and debris on the roadway.
As crews from Schuylkill Haven arrived on scene, Duty Chief 720 (Peel) was advised of a 2nd call in the district to 500 Orchard Ave, Schuylkill Haven Boro, for a medical emergency. Medic 63-01 was tied up at the accident scene, so Rescue 727 and Engine 732 were diverted to Orchard Ave. until another medic truck could arrive. Crews assessed the patient until the other BLS/ALS truck arrived and were placed available.
