October 22, 2011 -At 11:18 The Schuylkill Haven Rapid Intervention Team was dispatched to 277 Valley Street, New Philadelphia for a working structure fire. Crews arrived on scene and stood-by as RIT until being activated to assist with multiple searches, overhaul, and fire attack. FireFighters faced poor conditions while fighting the fire due to the amount of property inside the residence. Squad 739 was on scene for approximately 6 hours until being released. E-733 remained at the scene to assist command (54-01) with lighting. Chief 723 had command.
