January 15, 2009- At 11:37 the S.H.F.D. was dispatched to 255 Parkway, Schuylkill Haven, at the Schuylkill Haven Hi-Rise to assist Medic 63-01 with a patient that fell through a plate glass window. As Schuylkill Haven PD arrived on scene he advised county of the trauma and injuries of the paient and requested to have Air Medical put on stand-bye until medics arrived. Once medics arrived, it was decied to have the patient flown via Medevac 7. Chief 722 (Sattizahn) advised county to have Rescue 727 and Engine 732 help with patient stabilization and have Engine 737 handle the landing zone, which was at the church parking lot in the area of Stoyer's Dam. Crews from the medical assist helped prepare the patient for transport to the awaiting LZ. Engine 737 and Chief 722 handled the landing zone and all Schuylkill Haven units were cleared and available in about 1 hour. **MLK PHOTOS**
