May 31, 2012 -At 18:01 the SHFD was dispatched to 20 W. Main Street, Schuylkill Haven Borough for a Structure Fire. Chief 720 (Sattizahn) arrived on scene to find heavy fire to the rear of the structure and surrounding buildings. Crews arrived on scene and immediately began fire attack operations stretching multiple hand lines, setting up master streams, and establishing water supply lines. Due to the quick response of the SHFD and firefighters from surrounding communities the bulk of the fire was quickly knocked down and contained mostly to the fire building and immediate exposures. Fire personnel then assisted with the removal of Gun products from the store, overhaul, scene lighting, and water removal. The Schuylkill Haven Fire Department would like to thank all those who responded and assisted at the scene. Chief 720(Sattizahn) had command.
