September 6,2008- Just after 2pm stations 2 & 4 were dispatched to Fairview and Dewey Streets, Schuylkill Haven boro, for a transformer fire. As units were going responding County Comm. Center advised of multiple calls regarding multiple transformers popping. After an investigation, it was found that a little grey squirrel paid the ultimate price getting tangled in wires and causing transformers to blow from several different parts of town causing a blackout in the downtown district. The Schuylkill Haven Line Crew was advised of the problem and soon there after all fire units were released.
