March 14, 2009- At 20:50 all 3 Schuylkill Haven stations were dispatched to the area of Green Street and Wilson Street, Schuylkill Haven Boro, for a reported garage fire. On a "patrol" of his neighberhood, Schuylkill Hose chief, Jim Reed, saw smoke coming out of one of his neighbors garages and alerted county comm center to transmit a general alarm. Incoming units were met with heavy smoke, and a little fire. The first in engine used it's pre-connect to douse the fire, and no other lines were needed to contain the fire. Units were on scene for about 25 minutes.
