July 7, 2010 – Vehicle Fire (Bill’s Produce)

July 7, 2010 – At 17:16 Stations 2 & 4 were dispatched to 2012 Long Run Road (Bill’s Produce) for a reported vehicle fire. As Chief 722 (Sattizahn) became en-route, county advised of multiple reports of heavy smoke showing in the area. Chief 722 quickly arrived on scene and was met with a fully involved box truck near the rear of the building. First arriving E-737 immediately placed the driver’s side 1-3/4″ cross-lay into service. A few seconds later E-732 arrived on scene and also placed two 1-3/4″ hand lines into service. Crews knocked down the fire and pulled apart the contents of the truck to make sure the fire was fully extinguished. All Schuylkill Haven units remained on scene for approximately 1 hour.
