September 30, 2010 - At 17:21 Stations 2 & 4 were dispatched to 1305 Schuylkill Mountain Road for a reported tree down. As units began to respond, county advised of second tree down located at 800 Schuylkill Mountain Road. Station 4 took the first call at 1305 while Station 2 continued to the area of 800 Schuylkill Mountain Road. Station 4 arrived on scene and confirmed a tree resting on wires that was out of reach. County was advised and Station 4 then proceeded to the area of 800 to provide assistance with a very large tree also resting on wires. Chief 723 (Donatti) then requested Station 1 for Ladder 725 due to the size of the tree. Just as crews began to cut the tree, a second call to district was advised by county of a possible structure fire at 739 Garfield Avenue. Station 1 remained on scene to continue the tree removal.
