October 14, 2010 – At 4:45 Station 4 was dispatched to 1076 W. Market Street, North Manheim Township (Blue Mountain High School) to assist District 47 (Landingville Fire) in setting up a landing zone for incoming Medevac 7. Crews arrived on scene and set up a secure area for the helicopter to land. Fire personnel then remained on scene for approximately 1.5 hours for the patient to arrive from the scene of a vehicle accident. When the patient arrived, crews assisted EMS with patient packaging and transport to the helicopter. All units from Landingville and Station 4 were placed available after shortly after take-off. Chief 47 (Hoffman) was in command and all units were on scene for 2.5 hours.
