September 5, 2011 – At 13:23 the SHFD along with Pottsville RIT were dispatched to 15 Parkway Avenue (in the borough) for a house fire. Chief 730 (Reed) quickly arrived on location and advised all units of a working basement fire. E-732 was the first to arrive and immediately began the initial fire attack. Engine 737 tagged a hydrant at Union and Railroad Streets and supplied water to E-732. E-733 also hit a hydrant and fed Ladder 725. Crews made a quick hit on the fire and mostly all smoke and water damage was contained to the basement area of the structures.
