December 2, 2011 – At 14:32 Stations 1 & 4 were dispatched along with Fire District 41 (Cressona Fire) to 316 Chestnut Street, Cressona for a structure fire. As all units became en-route SCCC advised of a vehicle on fire inside of a commercial garage. Chief 41 (Mansell) arrived on scene and found a working vehicle fire outside and in front of the garage. Crews arrived on scene and used 1- 3/4in hand-lines to extinguish the blaze. Fire personnel also used multiple PPV Fans to ventilate the smoke-filled structure. All units were on scene for approximately 45 minutes until being placed available by Chief 41.
