March 8, 2017 – At 10:23 Fire District 63 was dispatched to 121 Tennis Avenue for a house fire. As Engine 63-12 and Engine 63-17 became enroute, SCCC advised of an address change to 130 Tennis Avenue, directly across from Boyer’s IGA.
Engine 63-12 and Tower 63-22 arrived to find smoke showing from the first floor. Crews from 63-22 forced entry with a primary attack line being deployed from 63-12. Both the tower and ladder 63-25 placed their aerials in service to the roof as well as Engines 63-17 and 63-13 securing water supplies to the scene.
Engine 41-17 (Cressona) and Pottsville R.I.T. were also dispatched to the scene. All searches proved negative and the fire was held to the room of origin.
