January 28, 2020 at approximately 16:50hrs, the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department along with Pottsville City Station 50 were dispatched to South Margaretta Street in the borough for a reported house fire. Deputy 63 (Reed) arrived and confirmed a working fire and requested Pottsville City RIT.
Crews arrived on scene and were met with heavy smoke pushing from all sides but made quick work of the fire in the basement. Crews worked together and brought the fire under control in just a few minutes.
