September 3, 2010 – Propane Leak

September 3, 2010 – At 19:19 Stations 2 & 4 were dispatched to 12 Pear Street for a propane tank leaking outside a residence. Crews arrived on scene and were met with a “pin hole” leak coming from the bottom of a propane cylinder. The tank was quickly removed from the side of the house and Station 2 pulled a 1 3/4 bumper line to dissipate the leaking gas. Fire personnel then used gas meters to make sure the area was clear. All units remained on scene for approximately 30 minutes. Chief 720 (Peel) had command.
