December 4, 2011 – At 20:38 The SHFD was dispatched to “The Island” to setup a landing zone for multiple medical helicopters. Crews established a secure area for the “birds” to land. Fire personnel assisted the flight crews and EMS with patient transport and packaging. After Medevac 1, Medevac 7, and PennStar 4 all landed and departed safely from the island, all units were placed available by Chief 720.
